Lead Sports Coach

**Responsibilities**:
- Plan and lead sports activities and training sessions for children and/or adults
- Teach fundamental skills and techniques specific to the sports
- Provide guidance and instruction on proper form, strategy, and rules of the sport
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for participants
- Develop lesson plans and organize practice sessions
- Monitor and evaluate participants' progress and provide feedback
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behavior among participants
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and stored
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience working with children or individuals in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Strong knowledge and expertise in the specific sport(s) being coached (e.g. football, dodgeball etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage behaviour and maintain discipline during coaching sessions
- Knowledge of child development principles and techniques for working with children
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Degree or coaching qualifications in physical education or related field (preferred)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-37.5 per week
**Salary**: £12.50-£18.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Performance bonus
- Signing bonus
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kendal: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Sports coaching: 1 year (preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day shift (required)
