Workshop Operative

Are you immediately available to start work? Do you have experience with hand & power tools? Are you local to Heathrow? If so, you may be suitable for the following workshop operative role.

Starting salary circa £13ph+ with normal working hours of 07:30-16:00, Monday Friday.

You will be part of a small team of 15 staff, making up trailers / trolleys, used in and around the airport.

**What does the role involve?**
- Following basis engineering drawings to assemble products
- Conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot mechanical failures, and perform repairs or replacements on existing products
- Inspect, repair and service the various types of machinery/equipment such as wheel bearings, conveyors, turntables plus much more
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and parts inventory
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Must be able to read technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- Welding (advantageous)
- Engineering qualifications required
