Doris Jones Limited is an award-winning provider of care services to the elderly in their own homes. It is one of very few rated "Outstanding" by the care regulator.

Our team of 70 community-based care workers travel between client homes, providing for their needs and ensuring their wellbeing.
- **The Role**_

You will be responsible for HR administration and compliance, (using additional external HR support where required). Providing proactive generalist and operational HR advice aligned to business plans and priorities

**Responsibilities**
- Drive recruitment strategy and resulting tactical activity (advertising, careers days etc.)
- Use all available channels to advertise vacancies both online and offline, monitor / analyse success of campaigns in order to maximize the most effective methods of advertising
- Recruitment, onboarding and integration of new staff
- Drive training and personal development for all staff (currently approx. 70)
- Optimise employee retention
- Line management and development of the HR Assistant
- Payroll; support monthly payroll preparation by consolidating data for new joiners, leavers, statutory pay, promotions, overtime, holiday pay, extra pay etc
- HR compliance
- Reporting to the Operations Manager, (KPIs: Applicant generation, recruitment, training/skills development, employee satisfaction, employee retention, legal and regulatory compliance)

**Required Experience**
- Either have or be working towards Level 3 HR Qualification / CIPD Foundation or Associate Member (or higher)
- 2-3 years proven experience in a functional HR role
- Proven track record of employee acquisition in a HR/Recruitment environment
- Experience of successful retention planning/activity in a high staff turnover setting
- Experience of the care industry (or similar workforce) an advantage
- Staff management experience, inc. motivation of team, delegation and appraisal
- Confidence to manage varying workloads and deadlines; able to work autonomously
- Ability to work under pressure and exercise clear judgement
- Competent IT skills including good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- The ability to work quickly and accurately, managing time and tasks, with consistently excellent attention to detail

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
