Altrincham & Sale Chamber is part of Trafford’s history. Based in Altrincham, the Chamber was established 111 years ago to provide business support and networking opportunities to Businesses throughout the Greater Manchester area.
At our Chamber, we believe in the power of collaboration and community. As a Membership Co-Ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development, growth, and success of the Chamber's membership base. Working closely with our Board you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to our organisation's continued success.
**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Build strong relationships with existing members, understanding their business needs, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct persuasive and professional sales presentations/demos to potential members, highlighting the unique value propositions and benefits of membership.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our membership benefits, industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position our offerings to clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, referrals, and events.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by actively prospecting and closing new members.
- Gather feedback from members regarding their experience, requirements, and suggestions to contribute to product enhancement and overall customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, client interactions, and pipeline stages.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in managing, developing, and securing new business, consistently exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong presentation skills in a customer-facing environment.
- Excellent written and creative writing skills.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Personable, with strong communication skills.
- Relationship builder (internal and external) with the ability to influence others.
- Self-confident, and able to use own initiative.
- Results-driven and an active listener.
- Experience managing annual membership contracts will be an advantage but not essential.
**Benefits**:
- £15 per hour.
- 15 hours per week
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
**Education**:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Business development: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
**Language**:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
