**The Job - Cycle Workshop Coordinator - Repair, Retail and Training**

**Salary**: £26k pro rata

Contract: Part time permanent contract.

Start Date: March 4th 2024

Closing Date: 15th February 2024

Are you an experienced bike mechanic that would like a new challenge?

We are looking for a part-time **Cycle Workshop Coordinator and Trainer **to join our small team of bike mechanics and volunteers, to manage day to day operations and the growth of Bike Station activity in 2024.

**Overview of the role**:

- Overall responsibility for daily operations in the Bike Station
- Manage and motivate the Bike Station team
- Check, undertake repairs and deliver all levels of service
- Delivery cycle repair training

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the Bike Station repair workshop and retail space
- Plan and organise the workshop team’s delivery of bike repairs and servicing
- Ensure the workshop is a friendly, clean, safe and well organised environment for mechanics, volunteers, customers and visitors
- Create a positive bike repair environment where your team feel welcomed and cared for
- Ensure all customers enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently
- Provide all elements of servicing for customers’ bikes within the range of tools and equipment available including gear and brake servicing, wheel truing, disc brakes and hub servicing
- Ensure prompt ordering of parts and quick turnaround of repairs and collections.
- Work with suppliers to ensure best prices and reliable supply of parts
- Work proactively with workshop supervisor and the creative team to create content for social media
- Deliver cycle repair training and workshops
- Share your passion and knowledge of cycle repair and maintenance techniques with your team
- Implement clear procedures to ensure quality and consistency in the service we provide
- Create an attractive retail environment to bring in new customers and encourage sales of parts and accessories
- Work with the Managing Director to ensure good financial performance and sustainability of the Bike Station.
- Help to develop and deliver the long term vision for the Bike Station

**Skills/Experience Required**
- Cytech Level 2 cycle mechanic qualification, or similar training/qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a cycle workshop
- Friendly and welcoming manner with good customer service and people skills
- Delivering intermediate cycle repair training
- Ride leading
- IT and admin skills

**Where this role sits in the structure**:
The role will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the Community Engagement Coordinator.

The role will have line management responsibility for the Workshop Supervisor and Junior Mechanic.
