My client a Chartered Accountant Practice based on the outskirts of Leeds are seeking an experienced Credit Controller.

You will become part of a busy team who are responsible for a variety of clients. Clients will typically be small limited companies, partnerships and sole traders from a variety of industries.

Duties of Credit Controller:

- Raise invoices and credit notes and send to clients, updating relevant systems for our records.
- Dealing with invoice queries.
- Send out Monthly Statements.
- Take payments over the telephone.
- Occasional trips to pay in cheques at the bank.
- Set up and negotiate repayment plans and terms with clients for fees either outstanding or in advance.
- Contact clients in connection to HMRC Refunds received. Obtaining bank details for repayment or asking to offset refunds against outstanding debt.
- Liaising with HMRC to chase up Client Refunds owed for Self-Assessment or Corporation Tax.
- Dealing with Liquidation notification paperwork from Insolvency companies. Speaking to Directors and Liquidators and sending over information required.
- Sending bad debtors to Debt Recovery Agency and keeping in contact with them to find out if debt will be recovered.
- Regular meetings and reporting to Directors of the bad debtors.

Essential:

- Experience working in an office environment within a Credit/Accounts department.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages - Word, Outlook and Excel
- Be confident with the full credit control process.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to communicate at all levels and be able to liaise with managers and clients
