We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced mental health practitioner who holds a qualification in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to be part of the Children's and Young People's Mental Health Support Teams across the Black Country.

The mental health support team (MHST) has the opportunity to further develop work within the field of young people’s mental health and wellbeing and provides CBT, guided self-help, parenting, with a focus on development of whole school approaches to mental health and wellbeing and the development of the think family approaches within the schools environment.

**Main duties of the job**
- This post will form part of a Mental Health Support Team service across the Black Country_. The post holder will be working as part of the MHST service, leading the teams in partnership with the other Clinical and Team Leaders to ensure the service provides early intervention and promotes good mental well-being to children and young people. This is an exciting opportunity for _the Specialist Educational Mental Health Team Clinical Lead to provide high level expertise and knowledge of mental health problems and psychiatric disorders and support the development and successful delivery of the service in schools. _The post holder will be expected to work in partnership with professionals in schools and parents/carers to affectively plan support for children and young people beyond one to one intervention for example assembly’s and supportive training. The post holder will be responsible for developing strong relationships with CYP MH services across the Black Country including CAMHS to ensure the most informed care pathways for children and young people. _The post holder will be responsible for the day to day clinical supervision of staff with BABCP accreditation and those working towards it and leadership to the assigned MHST._

**Person specification**

**Criteria**

**Essential criteria**
- Core profession (HCPC, Social Care, Nursing or recognised degree level or broad based health and social care qualification which will require completion of The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Knowledge Skills and attributes).
- Qualification and registration in CBT
- CYPIAPT Supervisor training for high intensity CBT required or willing to undertake
- Experience of specialist mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions with children and young people with mental health problems.
- Must have experience of leading and supervising staff a large team
- Must be a car driver

**Desirable criteria**
- Experience of working with children and young people in a range of clinical settings.

Pay: £43,742.00-£50,056.00 per year
