Our Leigh office is looking for a full time Legal Secretary within our property team.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.00 with an hour for lunch.

As a Legal Secretary you will play a key role in providing high quality business support in administration services to the Firm and its fee earners. Typing skills are essential as your responsibilities will include:

- Audio and copy typing
- Making appointments for clients either in person or by telephone
- Taking calls and providing cover for reception as and when required
- Filing correspondence and paperwork
- Inputting information provided by fee earner onto the database as required
- Opening new files at the direction of the fee earner
- Obtaining and completing basic conveyancing documents
- Preparing bills and e-chits
- Ensuring confidentiality of all matters dealt with
- Maintain high professional standards, confidence and integrity
- Such other tasks as the firm may from time to time require

Experience in a commercial property department with a residential background is preferred although not essential and training will be given. We are looking for individuals with:

- Appropriate manual dexterity and keyboard skills
- Communicate effectively and courteously and convey information accurately.
- Prioritise tasks
- Willingness and ability to learn new technology
