**Pay Rate: £10.60 per hour PAYE**

**35-37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours**

**This opening assignment is for 5 months**

**City: KILLINGWORTH**

Ensure litter free and well-maintained grass areas within all parts of the borough reaching an agreed standard.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sweeping, litter removal, clearing of leaves, fly tip and bonfire removal.
- Edging grass verges.
- Use of power tools as directed i.e. strimmers and blowers.
- Mowing as directed using pedestrian and ride-on controlled machinery.
- General driving duties including routine vehicle maintenance/inspection and vehicle cleaning.

**If you are successful in securing this role, please note that for the entire duration of this contract, regardless of extension you will be working this role at the PAYE rate that has been advertised. Qualifications:

- Approved training on the use of ride on mowers including John Deere 1545/1445/900’s Shibaura
- Pedestrian Mowers including Honda, John Deere, Hayter, Alko, Efco
- Hand held machinery - Strimmers, Blowers
- Full driving licence

Knowledge:

- Full understanding of risk assessments and health and safety requirements associated with grass cutting and litter removal operations

**Experience**:

- Experience of grass cutting operations and associated tasks within local authorities.

Skills & Abilities:

- Excellent customer focus
- Positive approach to team working and working co-operatively with colleagues.
