Pink Tile Education are recruiting an Early Years Practitioner for a gorgeous play centre in the Littlehampton area

Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

Location: Near Littlehampton, West Sussex

**Main responsibilities**:

- To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5
- To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others
- To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development and learning
- To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the manager/deputy manager
- To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors at all times
- To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
- To ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times
- To understand and work to nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
- To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments
- To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parental involvement
- To work in partnership with management to update and review the development plan
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery aims

Preferably level 2 or 3 qualified and experience working with children 0-5, but entry level practitioners are always welcome and considered to begin their career here

Please note this post require working with children so a full enhanced DBS will need to be completed. 2 references will also need to be given.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9.50+ (Negotiable with experience)

**Requirements**:
This individual will have passion and enthusiasm for safeguarding children and delivering high standards of care.
- Revelant child development/care qualifications and experiences
- Desired to have at least 1 years experience in a childcare setting, or successful placements.
- A great understanding of the EYFS.
- A passion and enthusiasm for childcare.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Good timekeeping, organisation and reliability.
