We are looking for someone who genuinely loves to be in a kitchen and understands the joys and challenges that come with working in this sort of environment. You will ideally have experience in a relevant supervisory role and will be committed, reliable and come with a positive attitude and a desire to learn.

**Working Hours**

As Kitchen Supervisor you will be working an average of 42 hours per week over 5 days. We have two shifts, early shifts (06:30 - 15:00) and late shifts (11:00 - 19:00). You will generally work alternate weeks of early shifts and late shifts. We do not currently work Saturdays, but Sunday working will be required on the weeks when you are working the early shifts. Sunday shifts are usually from 08:00 - 18:00. Working patterns may be adjusted from time to time depending on the needs of the business.

Reporting to the Kitchen Production Manager, some of the key tasks that the role includes are:

- Lead all processes that result in the creation of Turner’s Pies products, ensuring that they are completed to the highest standard.
- Lead by example - set an excellent example for the team, ensure an optimum pace of work, provide assistance, coaching and direction to all colleagues when appropriate.
- Effectively manage the team to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the kitchen, adapting and solving issues when necessary to ensure production targets and requirements are met.
- Ensure that all daily operational tasks are accomplished to the required standard, employing effective delegation and planning where appropriate to support the efficient and timely management of the kitchen.

- The ability to effectively lead and work as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to get to and from work independently at the required times (as dictated by the rota in place at the time).
- Strong communication skills, confident and clear with the ability to adapt approach to suit the audience.
- Enthusiasm for the role and the business.
- Efficient time management skills, for both themselves and others.
- Flexible with the ability to adapt when necessary.
- Ability to plan and think ahead, and delegate effectively where necessary.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and embrace and advocate change and progression of the business.
