The QA team at Build a Rocket Boy Games is expanding We're looking for an exceptional QA Lead to come join us here in our newly refurbished Edinburgh office. As a member of the QA Team, you'll be working closely with the wider development team ensuring the project quality standards are upheld. This role is for a position on Evening Shift (4:00 pm - 12:00 am)

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all areas of the game are tested to the highest standard.
- Prepare detailed test plans and test cases based on documented requirements and reviews with stakeholders.
- Provide personal support, mentoring and professional development to the QA Analyst team.
- Continually evaluate the process and propose improvements to the broader development team.
- Be a point of contact for QA communication across the studios.
- Liaise with external testing resources and coordinate the work between shifts.
- Autonomously make decisions and adapt to arising situations.
- Triage and manage defects, proactively working with the development team towards resolving critical issues.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of game testing methodologies.
- Expert in Jira and/or other QA and management tools.
- Proficient with perforce or similar source control solutions.
- Technically proficient and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable collaborating with multiple disciplines.
- Proactive mindset.
- Love playing games with interests in many different genres and a passion for developing high-quality experiences.
