**Interior Designer (Retail) Vacancy**

The Interior Design Department is responsible for the visual identity of the Danesmoor Groups’ digital assets and physical environments. We design, produce, and execute the delivery of both digital and physical product builds, in accordance with the groups multiple brand standards and guidelines. The department is also responsible for both the internal and external appearance of the groups multiple buildings. Regular attendance at design trade shows and exhibitions enhances and develops the departments knowledge in new trends and directions in retail interior design keeping the groups environments and practices at the cutting edge.

We are looking for a dynamic and organised mid-level Interior Designer (Retail) to join the team, who is responsible for the design of kitchen, bedroom and home office sets and the specification of the surrounding environment. This will be working to briefs set by the Head of Retail & Commercial Design taking in aspects of the brand guidelines and commercial requirements. Production of both pre-build concept presentation packs moving on to technical drawings, M&E plans and all relevant information that will enable the manufacturing and installation of the displays and other required building works. The work includes elements of project co-ordination, working closely with the workshop team and internal and external installers, to enable the smooth delivery of the install process. Following on from the install the designer will also be responsible for the styling of the sets and surrounding areas - taking in aspects of FFE and decorative objects to achieve the overall look. This workflow may extend to other projects for the group focussed around the various buildings and special projects.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop designs from concept to finished display/showroom designs for Kitchen, Bedroom and Home Office spaces
- Ability to confidently pitch a design scheme with commercial reasoning to a wide range of audiences across the business
- Incorporate all the groups categories of products into the displays to maximise the commercial exposure and return
- Specify and establish the surrounding areas and finishes that support the showroom environment
- Produce full technical drawings for the project - from General Arrangements, display technical drawings, M&E/Small Power drawings, FF&E and Decoration plans in order to assist with the order placement and installation of displays
- Produce product breakdowns in a relevant format - including EQ and Excel, holding relevant design meetings to assist with the ordering of the display
- Working with the Head of R&C Design to produce a schedule of works and further drawings or scheduling documents to assist with the tendering process
- Liaise with internal and external installation parties to make sure the information required has been supplied and the project path is clear
- Assist the Head of R&C Design to establish project budgets, tracking both internal and external costs and provide solutions that help keep projects on budget
- Source, co-ordinate and implement the FF&E to support displays. This ranges from furniture to small decorative objects
- Work to briefs given by Head of R&C Design for various interior design projects to meet the departments objectives and goals
- Commercial understanding of the groups various product categories and room instances and the ability to tailor the design solution to be relevant to the market/audience
- Constantly reviewing and updating your knowledge with the groups various different product ranges and SKU’s
- Understand industry best practice and strive to deliver solutions that exceed this
- Some out of hours work to realise parts of a project

**Essential Requirements**:

- 3-5 years experience in a similar role or a kitchen design based role
- Experience of management of installations and the documents required for commercial projects
- Sketchup
- AutoCAD/ 3D CAD drafting package
- Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Powerpoint
- Winner & EQ or similar furniture planning software
- Full UK Driving license

Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
