Manchester, United Kingdom The University of Manchester Full time

We are looking to appoint two BABCP accredited CBT therapists (0.5fte) to act as clinical supervisors in the recently developed University CBT clinic as part of the Clinical Psychology Doctorate (ClinPsyD) programme. The CBT clinic was developed in 2021 to enhance Cognitive Behaviour Therapy training on the ClinPsyD programme and the mental health provision at the University. The clinic provides high-intensity CBT interventions for undergraduate and postgraduate students with common mental health problems (e.g. anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder), similar to those seen at step 3 within NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services. Therapy is delivered by students on the ClinPsyD programme as part of their CBT skills training and development under the close supervision of BABCP accredited qualified staff. Alongside offering supervision to students, the post holders will be expected to contribute to the operational and administrative tasks of the CBT clinic and assist with CBT teaching and assessment. The ClinPsyD programme is hoping to achieve BABCP programme level 2 accreditation and the post holders will assist in the development of a CBT pathway to achieve this.
