This role is perfect for SEN / SEND Mentors who want a role that involves being creative and flexible in your delivery and methods of support for a variety of needs. We support young people in a variety of settings, providing engagementand social and emotional support. **What we offer our SEN / SEND Mentors**: - Flexible part-time hours to suit your schedule. - Extensive CPD and upskilling opportunities. - A Support Team dedicated to keeping a team around the child, and ensuring that everyplacement is a success for the young person and you. - We invite you to join our community, where we share best practice, resources, and tips. - A place as part of a child-centred company committed to transforming the world of support for vulnerable youngpeople for the better. **The SEN / SEND Mentor role**: - This role will involve providing support to young people referred to Targeted Provision - These young people are referred to us by local authorities and schools. - You will be working with our youngpeople 1:1 or in small groups. - You will design / follow interventions for the young person to support their engagement and wellbeing, and report back on each intervention session. **SEND / SEND Mentor requirements**: The requirements for our roles are wideranging as each young person we work with has their own specific requirements that we tailor each intervention to. _Essential_ - A minimum of 2 years of experience in a role supporting vulnerable young people - The ability to work in a way that promotes thehealth, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times - Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed) - Two professional references _Desirable_ - SEN / SEND Mentor experience - Teachingexperience / training (eg. QTS, QTLS, PGCE, B,Ed., PTLLS, DTLLS, CELTA, Overseas Qualification, etc) - Learning support experience / training (eg. LSA experience, TA experience, HLTA training. etc) - Therapeutic experience / training (counselling experienceor qualifications, mental health first aid qualifications, CBT, etc) - Social and mental health support experience / training (care home experience, social work experience, social work qualifications, etc) - SEND experience and training (dyslexia, ASC, ADHD,etc) - Deescalation experience and training (Teach Teach, MAPA, etc) - Alternative Communication and Language training (BSL, PECS, Makaton, EAL, etc) **SEN / SEND Mentor employment status**: - This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, to provideshort-term engagements as and when they arise - You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE - We do not offer any set amount of work nor expenses coverage - Our insurance covers the work you do for us **Applying**: - We look forwardto receiving your CV, outlining your relevant skills and experience that can help make a difference. - Due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to respond to every applicant.
