**What you’ll be doing**

This is a newly created role developed to ensure a safety culture is embedded across our business.The role will be based at Bovey Castle but with requirement to travel to our other hotels periodically.

The Health & Safety Manager will support the resort management team to improve overall performance and legal compliance in all health, safety and environmental matters.

This will be as broad as overseeing and advising on all safety protocols, developing/monitoring risk assessments and policies and procedures whilst coaching and developing our managers to help broaden their knowledge and experience of health and safety.

**What you’ll need;**
- To have experience of QHSE management and food safety within catering/hospitality/resort/outdoors sectors;
- To be a ‘realist’ - someone who understands the business and can drive common sense solutions whilst maintaining legalcompliance;
- Strong influencing skills to gain whole team buy in;
- BSc (Hons) in Environmental Health or Level 3 / 4 Food Safety;
- Knowledge of Food and H&S legislation;
- Experience working with and/or for EHO;
- IOSH/NEBOSH General Certificate examination pass gained in the last 5 years
- Experience of writing, conducting and recording risk assessments; health and safety policies and key documentation.
- Driving licence essential due to travel to other hotels where required.
