**Health, Safety & Compliance Manager**

**Cambridge**

**£48,000**

We have an opportunity for an organised and inspirational leader to ensure all legal and statutory obligations in relation to property compliance and health and safety are achieved. You will ensure that we adhere to all relevant policies and processes andmeet best practice guidelines. Passionate about H&S, you will encourage others to adopt new procedures and adapt positively to changes.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Ensure all property compliance policies and processes are in line with current legislation and agreed elements of best practice
- Undertake the role of Building Safety Manager across our property portfolio
- Proactively manage the annual servicing and inspection programmes for gas, electrics, water, fire, lifting equipment, asbestos and all other property and asset management compliance functions
- Ensure that contracts are in place, and managed, in order to deliver all property compliance functions
- Report on all health, safety and compliance performance on a regular basis including reporting on any areas of non-compliance that may arise and any relevant remedial actions or works required Lead on agreed initiatives to deliver improvements to health,safety and compliance function
- Ensure that the Society operates within all regulatory guidance, statutory and legislative requirements

With experience in a similar role, you will hold a relevant H&S qualification and be accustomed to identifying areas of improvement across the organisation to improve our processes. You’ll be adept at solving complex problems and influencing others to findsolutions.

**Experience and knowledge include**:

- Property compliance legislation and best practice
- Management of property compliance servicing and inspection programmes
- People and organisational health and safety management
- Experience of KPI performance reporting processes
- Management and delivery of high-performing customer facing activities
- Developing and implementing strategies, systems and policies
- Providing expert advice to senior staff and other stakeholders
