**The Company**

We are working with a market leader who are experiencing significant growth. They have a clear path for future company growth and as such are looking to add a Transport Planner to their team at the Bicester depot.

You will be joining a team of experienced industry professionals with a chance to progress your career within a growing business with an excellent brand reputation.

**The Role**

The Transport Planner will ensure all routes are planned in the most efficient and feasible way in line with legal requirements and depot KPI’s using Paragon, Q Drop and Reflex.

You will work from the Bicester depot, working Sunday-Thursday (10am - 7pm).
- Key Responsibilities_
- Complete daily route planning using Paragon to ensure routes are feasible, accurate and legal.
- Working with the Customer Service team/Transport Management to ensure any failed, off route or service error recovery deliveries are re-routed efficiently and achievable taking into account any customer requirements.
- Working with the Transport Team managers & Coordinators to plan according to legal Working Time Directive (WTD) requirements.
- Ensure the availability of vehicles for Safety inspections, MOTs and VOR remedial works.
- Liaising with the transport management and de-brief team to ensure all routed vehicles are road worthy and fully compliant to undertake the work required.
- Use Reflex to complete daily master route maintenance including amending route sequences, routing new customers and removing unused drops
- Complete daily investigations using data from Q Drop and Paragon to carry out all ‘Master Data’ maintenance in Reflex.
- Investigate all extended waiting time within the plan and rectify ‘Master Data’ accordingly.
- Support daily tasks associated with route execution and be accountable for the master data to reflect Plan Vs Actual (PVA) accuracy.
- Resource planning against available vehicles and Driver availability, working in conjunction with the Transport Management team.
- Liaise with De-brief and/or Drivers to ensure any route feedback is captured and data updated accordingly.
- Liaise with Customer Service and Sales teams to ensure all Customer requirements are met or suitable alternatives agreed.
- Building a strong working relationship with the central routing team to ensure all data and system settings are managed effectively.
- Ensure routing / transmission deadlines are achieved as to not adversely impact Warehouse Productivity
- Constantly review the plan, making daily decisions and longer term planning strategies to drive down cost to serve / improve service to Customers
- Optimise vehicle capacity and effectively plan routes to ensure balanced workloads across all multi drop drivers

The Transport Planner will ideally have experience in a similar role and be a forward-thinking individual with attention to detail.

Ideally you will be/have:

- Experience of working with Paragon system
- Eye for detail and strong organisational skills
- Good analytical investigation skills
- Good administrative skills
- Team player
- A personable and collaborative approach
- Previous experience within a busy transport department
- Legal and compliance knowledge (Tacograph and working time directive legislation)
- Works well under own initiative and under pressure
