Clinical/Counselling Psychologist Applications are invited from enthusiastic and energetic HCPC registered Clinical Psychologists who want to play a key role in this service

The post holder will be accountable to the Head of Adult Psychological Therapies, and responsible to the Consultant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (Locality Co-ordinator):As well as working directly with service users, the post holder will be expected to train and supervise other health professionals and voluntary sector staff who are using psychological approaches in their work. The post holder will also provide consultancy and training to community based teams. Development of special interests in clinical areas and service delivery are encouraged. This is a peripatetic post, there are excellent travel links including pubic and car travel networks and currently staff are working in a blended base/home format. The post-holder will be responsible for the provision of a highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention service to adults referred to the psychological therapies team. Other duties include provision of supervision. You will work closely with our community Mental Health Nurse, OT and Psychiatry colleagues where well developed relationships exist.

There are opportunities for group intervention provision and we have a rolling program of specific group interventions, which brings a welcome opportunity for joint working and variety in the role.
