**Office and Charity Support Administrator**

Full Time, Permanent

Pro rata 27 days holiday per annum + Bank Holidays

Mixture of office and occasional remote working

Salary £19,000 to £20,000

**Job Summary**:The individual will be a positive team player and play a key role in supporting the Charity with a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. The role will sit in the Finance and Operations team which is a team that supports the Charity in a number of ways. Primarily this includes matters relating to finance and facilities but also fundraising, such as, sale of merchandise and Family Support, for example, organising holidays for families. The role will provide administrative support across the whole team and it is therefore critical the individual is flexible, organised and personable.

Principal Responsibilities

The role is flexible and will adapt to the evolving needs of the Charity, but the core pillars of the role are:

- To help administer the support to families especially the arranging of family holidays.
- To support the Facilities Officer in ensuring Candlelighters is a fantastic environment for families to visit and for its employees to work in.
- To support with administrative financial related matters such as counting cash, processing donations on the Charity’s database and sending acknowledgements and thank yous to donors.

The specific tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

- Monitoring central inboxes and answering the phone to deal with general queries direct or passing on to an appropriate member of staff.
- Manage and booking of holiday provision for families (including bereaved families).
- Processing and inputting stakeholder information and financial records into databases and the general ledger.
- Supporting with the overall merchandise process including purchasing, recording sales, and sending out orders.
- Supporting with the coordination of day-to-day facilities in order to ensure our workplace and public spaces meet the needs of employees and families we support.
- Helping process cash, cheque and other donations and recording them onto our CRM system.

- Highly approachable and outgoing, and a natural ability to maintain excellent working relationships with all Candlelighters staff, local and national organisations, volunteers, fundraisers, patients, and their families.
