Portering Supervisor

To ensure an efficient and effective high quality portering service is provided to all clinical and non-clinical departments.o The receiving, recording, and issuing of prioritised portering requests to portering staff utilising the Patient Flow portering management software system.o To monitor portering staff performance and to provide on the job training for all portering staff as required.o To liaise on a regular basis with the portering manager to discuss any issues arising from the provision of the portering service.

Assist the Assistant Logistics Manager through meetings, discussions and forward planning with staff and service users:

- Evaluating any recognised changes in the need for demand of the serviceo Implementation of recognised changeso Modification of work rosters or work patterns to reflect the changing requirements of the customers and clients.o Takes the lead for the portering department out of hours.
- Conduct Staff performance and the job training.
- To liaise on a regular basis with the Assistant Logistics Manager to discuss any issues arising.
- To complete and file all relevant paperwork.
