**Main Purpose of Role**:
This role reports directly to the Digital Content Officer and will assist with producing a variety of multimedia content for the University of Sunderland social media channels. Tasks will include enhancing digital content, in line with the University of Sunderland digital vision and marketing strategy.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Assisting with the University social media channel output, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
- Engage in social media content creation and emerging trends.
- Create dynamic written, graphic and video content, which is usable across all platforms.
- Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases brand identity, and showcases the University values.
- Assists Social Media Officer with large projects and events.
- Work as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns.
- Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content.
- Assist the Digital Content team to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy.
- Post on our third-party websites (such as The Student Room) and respond to threads and comments from prospective students.
- Assist the Digital Content team with content production and website content maintenance on the University website.
- Assist the Digital Content Producers with faculty-aligned content marketing requirements.
- Work across the service and with other internal stakeholders across the university to ensure that digital content is produced and maintained to successfully showcase the university.
- Build excellent relationships with faculty and services colleagues as directed, fulfilling and proactively identifying content needs.
- Work with the faculties and key services to ensure content is relevant, personalised and accurate, keeping abreast of University facts and figures, USPs, course developments, City and regional information and other key facts.
- Attend key recruitment events both on and off campus for the purpose of promotion and to assist with the overall event as required.

**Special Circumstances**:
Occasional travel and out of hours work will be required.

**Essential and Desirable Criteria**:

**Qualifications and Professional Memberships**:

- Educated to Degree level or equivalent, or possess significant relevant professional experience within a similar role.

**Experience**:

- Demonstrable experience of best practice and writing and producing appropriate content for social media channels and website in a professional capacity.
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn.

**Key Knowledge and Expertise**:

- Demonstrable understanding of social media analytics.
- Demonstrable understanding of digital marketing and customer experience

**Desirable**:
**Experience**:

- Experience of developing graphics and basic animations.
- Social Media content creation

**Key Knowledge and Expertise**:

- Experience of using image manipulation software such as Photoshop.
- Experience of social media trends.
