**We have an opportunity for a full time Reception Administrator to start immediately at Lambeth Alliance Community Team.**
At South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust we provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. We also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol.
Our staff serve a local population of nearly two million people. We have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient, and community services. We provide inpatient care for over 5,000 people each year and we treat more than 45,000 patients inthe community in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Croydon.
As well as serving the communities of south London, we provide more than 50 specialist services for children and adults across the UK and beyond.
We have an ongoing placement opportunity available for an**experienced and professional Reception Administrator**to provide support within the Lambeth Alliance Community Team.
**This role is £13.36 per hour and is a Band 3.**
Responsibilities of the role:
- Must be able to work flexibility with the administration manager
- Assist staff with basic IT issues as and when required
- Downloads letters from Dict8 system to format accurately and send to various departments.
- General administrative tasks requested to complete by the staff in the team sending out appointment letters to clients for the team.
- Mainly reception covet of a very busy reception area which requires excellent interpersonal skills in order to work with staff and visitors
- Work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Must be willing to complete task at short notice to deadlines
- Maybe required to work at our other trust sites which are very nearby but be able to do this at very short notice.
- Good organisational skills, keep working area clear
- To gather information for data protection request working alone and also with the senior administrator in a timely accurate manor.
- Cover for colleagues when off, so has to be very flexible and attention to detail with tasks asked to cover certain tasks.
- Reception - First point of call for a very busy reception area will have to deal with our clients who have severe and enduring mental health problems, who are attending appointments with their care co-ordinators, doctors for medication and medication clinicsat the team base.
- Good telephone manner to deal with a very busy centre.
- Booking rooms for doctors and other staff on our data base.
- Keeping all reception paperwork up to date and accurate Keep the reception display boards pruned and up to date with information for the clients.
- Must be able to deal with competing priorities at reception keeping calm and professional at all times with all visitors to the centre.
**Essential skills or knowledge requirements**:
- ePJS knowledge essential
- NHS experience is a bonus
- MS Office knowledge
- Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Data Entry Skills
