The role represents an exciting opportunity to be part of a high performing and robust analytics function looking to fully utilise and implement statistical modelling and advanced analytics to drive best in class innovation.

A background operating in a statistical modelling or advanced analytics function is crucial as is the ability to quickly fit into a fast-moving, innovative, and high-profile environment (ideally at least 2 least two years prior experience in a relevant modelling-basedbusiness area).

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Developing and validating statistical models to support new product development and risk based decision making
- Support development of a wider analytics framework that monitors the effectiveness of a front-end customer decisioning platform, across a range of channels and products
- Lead the establishment and definition of the analytics requirements the business require in order to drive performance in respect of process, performance efficiency and value for money
- Designing, developing and deploying effective and efficient customer decision strategies, producing actionable proposals and implementation plans
- Assessing new data sources, tools and techniques to ensure the quality of commercial decision making
- Monitoring the risk/reward profile of the portfolio, analysing and proposing changes to acquisition strategies and customer affordability assessments, as appropriate
- Assessing new data sources, tools and techniques to ensure the quality of decisioning is maintained in a fast-changing external environment

**Skills and Experience**:

- Degree or equivalent in a quantitative or analytical discipline
- At least two years’ analytical experience within a relevant advanced analytics business area
- Strong statistical modelling experience - experience of deploying models through development / test / production lifecycle
- Demonstrable work experience of extracting, manipulating and analysing data using leading analytics tools (SPSS/SAS/SQL/R/Python etc.)
- Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint to produce clear documents and analysis, presenting complex information effectively
- Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage your own workload, prioritise workloads, and support wider projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating great attention to detail
- Experience of working in the following areas would be an advantageous, but not essential; financial services, retail pricing, machine learning, actuarial based modelling etc.
