Responsible Finance Officer

Sudbury Town Council is looking for an experienced responsible finance officer to assist the clerk in restructuring the council’s financial administration in line with recommendations from a recent SALC review. This is expected to take no more than six months. The council are keen to make full use of the current financial software, so experience with Rialtas Omega is highly desirable.
The responsible finance officer will be supported by the current full-time deputy finance officer who undertakes the daily financial administration including data entry. The responsible finance officer will be asked to identify efficient procedures for the council’s financial administration that are in accordance with the Financial Regulations and document these for future use.
This temporary responsible finance officer role could be full-time or part-time but will require a physical presence in the council’s offices in Sudbury Town Hall.
This role could suit someone with a background in financial administration who now wishes to work locally with flexible hours.

**Salary**: £41,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
