It is an exciting time to join us in these early days of the establishment of our Evaluation and Enhancement team at the Academy for Learning and Teaching Excellence (ALTE) at the University of Bedfordshire. The applicant will share our commitment to championing research and evaluation for informed higher educational practices and so must be proficient in the use of quantitative and qualitative research methods and data analysis. A proven track record of disseminating research findings is also essential.

The principal responsibilities of the Learning and Teaching Excellence will include the following, although not be limited to:

- Researching and evaluating the educational context of Higher Education;
- Designing and delivering research and evaluation of the institutions’ Education and Student Experience Strategy and Access and Participation Plan (APP);
- Designing and undertaking research projects to establish the impact of teaching, learning and the wider student experience;
- Disseminating research findings and making recommendations for future delivery of teaching, learning and the wider student experience;
- Championing and supporting staff to design, undertake and disseminate research related to their own teaching and learning practices;
- Contributing to wider ALTE institutional initiatives (such as provision of staff training and learning resources);
- Collaborating with the Evaluation and Enhancement team and others within the ALTE;
- Seeking and leading externally funded projects on areas relating to achieving a high-quality student experience and student outcomes;
- Supporting the realisation of the Education and Student Experience strategy.
