JD Classics, we are a leading classic car sale and restoration Company based at Chelmsford.As we expand our operations, we are seeking a motivated Admin /Finance Assistant to enhance our financial and car's administrative sectors.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and preferably SAGE 50 accounting software.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare, file, and reconcile invoices.
- Strong communication skills for effective liaison with clients, suppliers, and various organizations.
- Experience managing accounts, particularly relating to creditors, debtors, and procurement.
- Sending letters, statements, and chase customers for payment for overdue invoices
- Proven record in administrative responsibilities, including logging details such as vehicle entries/exits in workshops, fuel card records, and mileage tracking.
- Familiarity with employee timesheet processing.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the generation and management of account statements.
- Contribute to the creation of management accounts.
- Maintain sales and purchase ledgers.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, both monthly and quarterly.
- Manage inter-company invoicing and perform reconciliations.
- Administer prepayments and accruals.
- Provide support for administrative and HR tasks, inclusive of insurance quotes.
- Oversee daily ledger operations spanning various categories (CB/PL/SL/NL).
- Offer ad hoc support as necessary to maintain operational excellence.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£29,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
