Warehouse Assistant

**Volunteering at Blackpool Food Bank**:
Blackpool Food Bank is a registered Charity that helps individuals and families across the

Fylde Coast. We don’t supply direct to the public ourselves; we are a full-time distribution centre supplying food to over 70 front-line services who support those in need. We collect and distribute over 10 tonnes of food every week, with a large proportion being diverted from landfill.

**What you will be doing**:

- Sorting and preparing incoming donations to be distributed within our network
- Bakery, Fresh Produce, Frozen Food and Food Cupboard items
- Making up emergency food parcels and replenishing stock
- Preparing daily orders for Network Partners
- Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward any visitors
- Liaising with the Transport Team to load and unload the van, and provide support with tasks during busy periods
- Keeping the warehouse area clean and tidy

**The skills you need**:

- Happy to follow a process
- Flexible approach
- Friendly with a sense of humour
- Team player

**Shift patterns are usually Monday to Friday**:
09:00 - 13:00 or 13:00 - 16: _00 _
- (We aim to offer you one or two shifts a week that suit your availability within these timeframes or _
- as your own availability allows). _
