The role

**What will the apprentice be doing?**

The apprentice will be responsible for coordinating the processing of equipment orders and adaptation requests, which will include:

- Entering, updating and processing data from orders onto the database
- Liaising with service users, carers, commissioning professionals, suppliers and contractors
- Ensuring the correct administrative and accounting policies, procedures and systems are fully met within the requirements of the Community Service Department, Council, Health Authority/Primary Care Trusts and other appropriate local or national bodies
- Processing purchase orders and ensuring prompt payment of invoices
- Producing reports
- Stock taking duties
- Attending and contributing to meetings including minute taking where required

- Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard

**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**
- Opportunity to move into a permanent administrative role within the team upon successful completion of the apprenticeship

Skills & experience

You will need to be a good telephone communicator with a calm, professional and polite manner. Experience of databases and accurate data entry skills is important.
