We are actively seeking a C1 Lorry Driver that would complete a range of driving activities to support our business needs. This position requires flexibility in hours worked with a typical working week of 24+ hours.
Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a C1 lorry to transport material & equipment to and from designated locations

Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road

Plan and execute delivery routes in an efficient and timely manner

Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is properly secured and protected during transportation

Conduct daily walkaround maintenance checks on the delivery van and ensure vehicle is mechanically sound and legally roadworthy

Drive within driver working hours/tachograph rules and avoid any PCNs (Penalty Charge Notices)

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times

Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Assist at the warehouse when extra help is needed

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

**Qualifications**:
Essential

GCSE at grade C or above in Moths and English

Valid UK C1 Driving Licence

Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC)

Valid Digital Tachograph card
Desirable
Reach Truck / Fork Lift Licence is desirable

Experience & Knowledge
Essential

2 years’ experience of driving C1 lorries on multidrop runs

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and schedules accurately

Good understanding of both written and spoken English

Good knowledge of London roads & restrictions

Excellent navigational skills and the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively
Desirable

Evidence of Manual Handling training

Flexibility in working hours, as some deliveries may require early mornings, late evenings, or weekends

**Skills**:
Good problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations on the road

Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Flexible and able to work as part of a team

Well organised and able to multitask

A strong work ethic, attention to detail and must be very ‘hands on’ with a ‘can do’ attitude

Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
