We are looking for Inspectors to join the new assembly team within Raynesway. In this exciting role you will inspect the power plants for the UK Royal Navy Submarine Fleet.

**What you will be doing**:
You will Work closely with manufacturing engineering on design and manufacturability issues
- Inspect components to drawing requirements
- Use a comprehensive range of hand tools, measuring instruments and workshop machine tools.
- Follow all nuclear, fire and conventional health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations
- Read and interpret manufacturing engineering drawings, technical instructions and written specifications
- Check finished components meet quality standards/drawing requirements. Deliver right first time quality for each operation
- Understand how to access and follow the RRMS and standards and specifications
- Quality check work and complete relevant documentation accurately as well as check the work of others for compliance to required standards
- Maintain equipment and measuring tools and ensure all tools are in calibration
- Use standard measuring tools such as callipers, micrometers, height gauges and specific bespoke measuring equipment.
- Work in an integrated team to achieve the cells targets and effectively resolve quality issues
- Keep the work area safe, tidy and clean
- Can safely deal with any problems / discrepancies while following correct procedures. Makes decisions and provides suitable justifications for those decisions and conclusions
- Comply with the procedures for control of non-conformance for their area
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the process/cell ensuring optimum performance
- Use problem solving and business improvement techniques to ensure the production plans are achieved
- Complete the relevant documentation (quality, operation data sheets, maintenance, reports, etc)
- Identify and report any matter that indicates that the safety of an operation or the safe condition of any plant may be affected
- Provide on the job training and technical support to team members as required Flexibility to perform other duties when assigned

- Has developed proficient knowledge and understanding of Inspection from a range of practical methods, techniques and work processes, gained through a recognised time served apprenticeship
- Experience of using a range of measuring tools
- Awareness of HS&E requirements, including risk assessment processes
- An awareness of the importance of sustaining and contributing to a strong safety culture
- Manage a number of tasks simultaneously, following guidance from the Production Leader
- Demonstrate the ability to get things done in an ever changing environment
- Display confident communication skills and experience of team working
- Project a positive ‘can do’ attitude to deliver on objectives and commitments
- Be flexible and willing to multi skill
- Have a desire to grow and learn new skills
