**About the job**
Our client currently requires a Technical Proposal Manager to join their Engineering Delivery Partner Team. Along with strong technical competencies and capabilities, the role requires leadership and soft skills to help engage with EDP Partner companies, andfacilitate proposal workshops. A great opportunity to show your breathe of knowledge around Bids & Proposals, whilst developing your commercial and leadership skills.
**Role Responsibilities**:

- Manage and deliver high quality proposals addressing the client requirement; this must incorporate the use of specific processes and templates applicable to the EDP contract.
- Engage with EDP Partner companies, and a wider network of providers, to agree optimum delivery arrangements as part of the task scoping activity.
- Plan, co-ordinate, and programme manage the task scoping and detailed pricing activities for the entire bid process for the respective bids, including working with the required individuals from the primary business functions, including commercial, operations,and future business to produce a comprehensive response to resource bids.
- Facilitate proposal workshops as needed, including organising meetings, providing briefings, and ensuring that everyone involved in proposal development exercise understands their role and what is expected of them, the task and what is required, the associatedprocesses and timescales applicable to a specific proposal.
- Act as a point of contact for EDP proposals for which they are Proposal Manager.
- Collate, manage, and disseminate critical information that impacts proposal development.
- Be able to write compelling proposals in response to clients’ requirements.
- Review and format proposal deliverables, providing a pre-submission control point to ensure quality and consistency of the final proposal outputs.
- Work with EDP Commercial Partners to ensure compliance with the corporate processes, procedures, guidance, and record the approvals accordingly; this also includes ensuring that the correct reviews are completed and documented accordingly.
- Close monitoring and reporting of the bid proposal delivery progress against the agreed timescales and requirements, including any changing requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of compliant bids to agreed KPI dates.

**About you**
As a Technical Proposal Manager your skills and qualifications will include:

- Strong, proven track record of proposal management / tender preparation.
- Knowledge and understanding of the defence / engineering / consultancy industry preferable.
- Demonstrate understanding of bidding/proposal practice, procurement processes and quality systems.
- Able to take a flexible approach which responds to the issues presented.
- Able to write compelling proposals in response to clients’ requirements.
- Show creativity and flexibility in their approach to each activity, and being able to engage people from different functions in order to jointly deliver bids.
- Take immediate ownership of the proposal process.
- Able to work under pressure and 'do all it takes' to deliver work to deadlines whilst maintaining a professional approach.
- Able to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, senior management, EDP Partners and a wider supply chain.
- Natural communicator with excellent written and oral presentation skills.
- Excellent time management skills and able to prioritise a busy schedule and workload.
- Dedicated to exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and/or external customers.
- Extremely organised and with a keen eye for detail.
