We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed term band 7 positions for an Enhanced Practitioner to support additional Bone Marrow Aspiration and Trephine Biopsy (BMAT). This role will involve independently performing BMAT once competent in this skill, booking and prepping list and reviewing the feasibility of moving to a permanent nurse led provision.
Within your role you will be working closely with other members of the nursing, nurse practitioners and medical team to provide expert care to patients in person. You will be able to take an appropriate history and physical assessment and formulate a management plan as well as interpreting and requesting investigations with the support of our senior medical colleagues.

You will be expected to provide strong expert clinical leadership and support other members of the team, acting as a positive role model promoting best clinical and professional practice.

The post holder will work as a skilled, autonomous practitioner as part of the Multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care to patients. The post holder will work across divisional and professional boundaries, encouraging inter-disciplinary working for the benefit of improved patient outcomes and efficient use of resources. The Enhanced Practitioner will be based working alongside the Haematology and BMT Teams including CNS’s, Medical workforce and D701 BHOC (Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre) SDEC ( Same Day Emergency Care) unit. The post holder will need to work under guidance, supervision and mentorship whilst learning to undertake BMAT.
