The Team
This person will lead the Council’s Financial Strategy Team in the role of Strategic Lead. Financial Strategy sits at the heart of the Council’s financial services, co-ordinating the medium-term financial planning process, leading on monitoring of approved financial plans in year and undertaking treasury management. We are progressive and outward looking, and we play a critical role in determining the Council’s spending power and how this is invested. We do this by working effectively with our partner teams (including Business Partnering, Local Taxation & Benefits and Economic Development), working to enable the organisation to take the best decisions supported by the best financial and non-financial information. We are solution and action focussed providing high value, high impact work supporting the financial sustainability aspirations of the organisation.

The Role
The post is essential to the effective financial management of the Council, particularly at a time of change and development for both the Council and the North Lincolnshire area, both financially and structurally. The role is pivotal in supporting the co-ordination of core financial processes, including production of the Council’s financial plans and monitoring reports. The role also ensures that a range of financial services are delivered including, corporate business partnering, treasury management, coordination and completion of Government returns and complex data analysis and forecasting.
