As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

Reporting to the Visitor Welcome Manager, you'll join the visitor welcome team. We are at our busiest when the public is as its leisure, so please expect to work every / other weekend and some national holidays.

Ickworth House, with its classical Rotunda and East and West Wings, forms the centrepiece of the Ickworth estate. With over 1800 acres of parkland, gardens and brand new all-weather path to enjoy, Ickworth is the perfect place to get back to nature.

The team welcomes over 250,000 visitors a year to this Treasure House and its rolling Suffolk landscape. What you'll be doing:As a Welcome and Service Assistant, you’ll be an ambassador for the Trust sharing our values and working as a team to link everything we do back to our cause. You'll provide stories about the amazing work we are doing and what supporter donations are funding, promoting local projects and our national strategy. As a team you will confidently grow members and supporters, giving them everything they need for their visit. You'll lead volunteers, and deliver high standards of presentation, ensuring all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.

You’ll also support across departments, inspiring sales at our plant shop and making every cup count in our Porters Lodge Café.

Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can.
