**School of Criminology, Sociology and Policing**

Criminology, Sociology and Policing is a long-established and growing academic School that recruits strongly across its undergraduate, taught postgraduate and postgraduate research programmes.

The School is currently comprised of 30 members of academic staff, who approach criminology from a multitude of disciplinary perspectives, with strategic approval to increase these numbers beyond thirty in the short term. The School delivers a core undergraduate degree in criminology, as well as a suite of ‘with’ programmes, and the Professional Policing Degree now in its third year.

In the most recent REF exercise, the School was placed in 19th in the country and in the top ten for impact in its UOA. As part of our growth and strategic positioning we are seeking two Lecturers to widen our teaching provision into this important and emergent area, and to take advantage of the research opportunities that have been presented with public authorities.
