Band 5 CPF is required to work closely with the senior CPF, other members of the CPF team, ward sister/charge nurses to develop training needs. To support improvement of an effective practice learning and development environment through the facilitation in clinical practice and promotion / implementation of relevant education and development pathways within medicines board. Provide assistance with staff undertaking post graduate and below training programmes i.e care certificate, preceptorship, apprenticeships, associate roles, international nursing. Work with the team to facilitate study days and maintain own training and development needs required to support staff with the board. Additionally, work with the wider community of Clinical Practice Facilitators, educational staff and others at all levels across the Trust; creating excellent opportunities for professional development.
- Band 5 CPF need to be strong communicators and demonstrate an ability to train, assess, educate, work with and develop others, work well autonomously and within a creative team.
- Supervising and assessing staff competence with various clinical skills.
- Band 5 CPF will have the opportunity to work across several wards and departments and will be required to work with all staff to support with their education and development.
- Develop and implement a training needs analysis and proactively engage with education and research agendas for Nursing.

This role will provide an excellent scope and support for furthering knowledge of undergraduate and post graduate education, practice based and academic learning.

Medicine Board is seeking a highly motivated Band 5 Nurse who is enthusiastic about practice development, infection and medical specialties. We are looking for a Nurse with at least experience 1 year post qualifying experience to join our medicine board CPF team.

The medicine board CPFs are a vibrant and creative team who work closely to improve the education, training and development of staff so they can give excellent patient care. The team comprise of 5 CPF and cover areas such as elderly medicines, clinical pharmacology, infectious disease and respiratory also some outpatient departments. The team prides itself on a strong and supportive multi-disciplinary team and staff have the opportunity to work with specialist Consultants and Specialist Nurses who are leading experts in their fields. Our focus is always to promote and provide the best possible patient care and our team values reflect those of the Trust: Safety, Kindness, Teamwork and Improving.

You will have the opportunity to attend train the trainer sessions, study days and complete further education courses if you wish. We are looking for staff that are keen to develop and enhance their clinical skills whilst working as part of our team as we strive to continually improve our patient experience and the care we provide. The Clinical Practice Facilitator role is a full time post working Monday to Friday.
