**This Ofsted rated 'Good' school is seeking a science academic mentor to join them this January.**

**The school**:
This inclusive, mixed, community school holds high expectations, a rigorous academic curriculum and caring pastoral systems. The school holds the belief that every student can excel and seek to provide an inspirational learning journey which maximises thepupils progress.

The key pillars of this are excellent behaviour based on mutual respect, great teaching and knowing and valuing every child.

The school has 2 buildings with 750 students situated across both, with the two sites operating as parallel 'mini schools', educating students across KS3 and KS4.

**About the role**:
**The roles responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Delivering small group work one-to-one support, revision lessons (in groups or one-to-one) or Additional support (e.g cover lessons) as directed by the Head of Department
- Work collaboratively with the department and school colleagues by planning resources that are differentiated for students
- Identify learning gaps and help to shape a bespoke intervention programme for pupils
- Have clear assessment strategies to identify gaps in knowledge, give feedback to the students and then give the students an opportunity to respond to that feedback in line with the schools assessment policy principles.
