This modern build academy is looking for passionate science graduates to support their students through the academic year as a Graduate Science Academic Mentor from September 2024.

Job Description - Graduate Science Academic Mentor

  • As a Graduate Science Academic Mentor – Earn £465 - £520 per week
  • Support students in KS3 and KS4
  • Science graduates needed – 1st and 2:1 degrees are preferred
  • Career progression - Planned teacher training from September 2025
  • Dynamic Academy School
  • Social hours – Work 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Full-time, long-term role
  • Interviewing immediately for a September 2024 role
  • Lambeth – South London

This dynamic secondary school, which prides its progressive and engaging practice, is looking for a Graduate Science Academic Mentor to join their team in the hopes of developing potential future teachers.

As a Graduate Science Academic Mentor, you will take on responsibility within the school supporting students on a 1-1 and group basis. Whilst using your academic background to your advantage, you will develop your own successful teaching strategies with the help of exceptional support and training opportunities.

This school often prides itself on its modern science department, with boasts a plethora of engaging resources.  As a Graduate Science Academic Teacher, you will be encouraged to use practical tasks to encourage engaged learning, injecting excitement into the science curriculum.

You will work closely with the teaching team as you learn successful pedagogy, behaviour management strategies and curriculum knowledge.
