You must be someone who works well in a dynamic team. You will also need to have the skills to be able to work within the wider multi-disciplinary team of nurses and doctors and other allied healthcare professionals and managers. You will want to develop and improve the reliability and quality of our clinical pharmacy service. You will need to have specific experience working with pharmacy teams and patients within the mental health setting. You will want to reach targets set by the Trust and by the pharmacy service. You must be self
- motivated and able to motivate others.

Our ELFT pharmacy team provides pharmacy services to a wide range of community and inpatient service users in Luton and Bedforshire, City and Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets. This includes children and young people to adults of working age, older adults, and forensic patients. We provide a broad range of clinical pharmacy services to our inpatient wards and are supported by trained medicines management technicians.
1. To answer incoming phone calls in a polite manner, referring on as appropriate and taking accurate messages if necessary.
2. To ensure appropriate levels of ancillary stock (bottles, containers, bags etc) are This will involve ordering sufficient quantities and topping them up.
3. To dispense medicines from prescriptions and ward requisitions under supervision, as and when
4. To return drugs to cupboard ensuring it is kept clean, neat and
5. To undertake general administrative support duties as required, g. photocopying, scanning work across sites and end of month filing etc
6. To sort returned stock prior to forwarding it on for checking (for re-cycling) or disposal
7. To ensure returned items are ‘credited’ appropriately and returned back to Mile end stock
8. To undertake top up of drugs on wards and departments his will include visiting own designated ward(s) and checking against previously agreed stock lists according to local training and policy.
9. To carry out expiry date checks in the department and on own wards and
10. To undertake general housekeeping duties, to include assisting with cleaning procedures; g. shelves, defrosting fridge’s and maintaining the tidiness of department.
