Support Worker required for young person in Audenshaw

Pay: £15-£17 per hour

Hours - **please do not proceed unless you can fulfil the following shifts**

Wednesday 7.30am-9.30am then 2.30-7.30pm

Thursday 2.30-7.30pm

Friday 2.30-7.30pm

Saturday 8am-7.30pm

Plus additional time to complete documentation

31.5hrs in total

The Role

Working with a cheeky, kind and funny teenage boy in his own home alongside his family. Our client loves all things Football - especially MCFC He is an avid gamer and wants someone who can play XBOX. The client also has a keen interest in Maths and Geography.

This is a wonderful role working with a close and friendly family. The client suffered injuries in a road traffic incident and requires help with personal care, manual handling, household chores.

Working alongside a team of professionals including Case Manager, Physio, SaLT and OT.

The Person we are looking for

MUST

be able to complete the shift pattern above including Saturdays.

Be outgoing, friendly and bubbly - can you entertain a teenage boy and have a laugh whilst you are helping him to cook, wash, dress and play Xbox?

Be KIND

Be punctual

Be professional

Have the patience to help in times of frustration.

Be physically able to perform manual handling tasks safely - use of hoists and other manual handling equipment.

Be able to cook, clean and tidy - all domestic tasks are a requirement of the role.

Have a minimum of 2 years care experience. Experience with ABI and/or rehabilitation would be beneficial but not essential as full training can be given.

Over 21 years of age due to insurance

Full clean UK drivers licence as driving the client in his own vehicle is required.

Did we mention you will need to play the Xbox? - this is not needed to a skilled level, but this boys new ‘Buddy’ needs to be able to have a laugh whilst getting beat on FIFA.

Be happy to work alongside the cutest little dog in Manchester

It’s a bonus if you like football, UNO and board games too
