The Clinical lead role will be integral to this deployment and will be key in bringing the Occupational Health teams together.
Reporting to the Manager of Occupational Health and wellbeing and being part of a team of 23, you will manage a team of Occupational health professionals who provide a range of services to the business including pre-placement medicals, health surveillance,hygiene surveys, sickness referral support, biological monitoring and Havs assessments.
As Lead Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of the Nursing Occupational Health service within their complete UK function by providing clinical oversight, standardised processes and training for Occupational Health Advisorsand Technicians. Accountable for the development of a professional and quality service delivered by suitability qualified staff within a modern Occupational Health department, the Lead Clinical Nurse will have direct line management responsibility to PortTalbot & Llanwern nursing staff, and be responsible for ensuring consistency of service delivery across our sites through clinical supervision and governance. Furthermore, the Lead Clinical Nurse will work with multiple stakeholders in an industrial and complexenvironment, providing support and advice to management and HR on clinical issues, and delivering awareness training on health issues throughout the organisation.
Applicants to this role will have the following:

- A relevant nursing qualification and registration with several years' post-qualification experience within an industrial environment (experience of HAVS assessment is essential)
- An Occupational Health Diploma
- Strong clinical nursing skills
- Strong team-working skills
- A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
- A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
- A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
- Experience of clinical policy development and deployment
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and effective leadership skills
