**Description**

Job Title: Young Person Support worker (Primary Age)

Reporting to: Social Care Manager/ Case Manager

Hours: A team to provide the following hours: 3 or 4 hours a day on Tuesday (PM), Wednesday (PM), Thursday (AM) and Friday (PM).

**Location: Guildford**

**Role**: To create stability for the young person and develop their life skills and opportunities through a range of community and home-based activities.

**Essential Skills**

You should have experience of working with young people of Primary school age, who are Neurodiverse and display challenging behaviors. You should be able to “get alongside” the young person to role model and guide them.

You need to be confident but have this underpinned by knowledge and experience and be calm, reflective and agile allowing you to pivot your approach to mirror the young person’s needs on any given day.

You will also need a good sprinkling of resilience to not allow the demand of the role to deplete your energy levels and be able to not take the behaviors of the young person personally.

You should be self-motivated, energetic and possibly bring additional skills alongside the core requirements of this role. You should be someone who is looking to make a difference to a young person’s life.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £17.00 per hour
