We’re looking for a Commercial Director to join our Group Delivery function. The Commercial Director will be accountable for the quality, pace, efficiency, and operational effectiveness of the Commercial Function. The Commercial Director retains a keen businessfocus whilst delegating tasks and actions appropriately, taking a hands-on approach to commercial activities when required. Working across multiple projects, you’ll be responsible for balancing priorities to ensure commercial activities are delivered on time,within financial limitations and in line with design, technical and client requirements.

The role reports into the Group Commercial Director and sits within a family of commercial / quantity surveying roles within Watkin Jones. The Commercial Director will be the communication channel to the Group Commercial Director and Senior ConstructionLeadership Team, reporting on progress, risks and resources.

The role offers an agile approach offering working arrangements that allow a variance in the timing or location of work for the mutual benefit of the individual and the organisation.

**About You**

You’ll need to show knowledge of health and safety legislation and current surveying / commercial trends, technology and industry / regulatory / design standards and best practice managing multiple schemes and have skills to act assertively to support apoint of view, influence decisions whilst maintaining respect and healthy, positive working relationships.

A strong working knowledge of MS office programmes including MS excel is essential.
