Production Planning Coordinator

**Basic Function**

**Scope of Work**

To provide planning and materials support to Operations at Sunderland Site. To ensure that the Manufacturing areas has the details required to support an efficient manufacturing process. To liaise with internal departments and external suppliers.

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Planning daily/ weekly/monthly production tasks and schedules accordingly to customers’ requirements. Review them on daily basis and re-schedule when necessary.
- Monitor daily production performance to resolve any potential issues in a timely manner.
- Investigate production problems, analyse root causes, and provide solutions
- Forecasting weekly and large ad-hoc mailing requirements with postal companies.
- Maintains a strong knowledge of the operational processes amongst team members and that such processes are conducted to a high standard.
- Takes a positive lead on NCR and issue investigation/resolution.
- Continuously considers processes within the department and make recommendations for improvements to Operations Management.
- Creating a culture of effective cross-functional and flexible working on site (flexibility across lines and functions) to ensure labour flexibility to meet fluctuations in demand, create opportunities for career paths and cost-effective production.
- Stock management. (Managing level of raw materials required for production, stock call offs, stock orders; Price negotiations; Benchmarking; Dealing with variance of suppliers, prior ordering the stock, to achieve the best prices and lead times).

**Principal Interactions**

Excellent time management skills. Able to liaise with both internal and external clients whilst demonstrating control, knowledge, and confidence.

**Knowledge / Educational / Experience**
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Logical approach and ability to scope out a project plan.
- People management and development.
- Able to analyse information and report upon its content.
- Attention to detail.
- Accountable and reliable.
- Promotes a positive working environment and able to resolve conflict

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
