**The Role / Position Overview**

Sustainable Views, a service for financial services professionals from the Financial Times Group, is looking for a deputy editor. Sustainable Views aims to be the authoritative source of information on developments in sustainability policy and regulation, the impact of environmental, social and governance factors on capital markets, and the transition to a green and just economy.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Writing, editing and commissioning articles and opinion pieces
- Managing the website when required
- Authoring newsletters
- Managing the editorial team in the editor's absence
- Participating in podcasts and other multimedia projects including live events
- Working with the editor to expand our coverage into new topic areas
- Participating in initiatives to develop the Sustainable Views offering further including product extensions and data-led initiatives such as the Policy Tracker.

**Essential Skills**:

- Experience of commissioning and editing for high value B2B audiences
- Strong writing skills
- Experience of presenting and speaking on podcasts and videos
- Experience of managing workflows and commissioning to maintain a steady flow of articles throughout the week both from staff members and freelancers.
- Experience of working with cross functional teams including marketing, sales, product and technology.
- Experience of editing or deputising for an editor on a stand alone product
- Experience of policy and regulation in the ESG world
- Ability to work as part of a team

**Desirable Skills**:

- Knowledge of environmental, social and governance matters and how they relate to finance professionals.
- Presentation/moderating skills
- Experience of working on a high value B2B title for a professional audience
- Understanding of EU policy making
- Foreign language skills
