**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The **Deputy Celebrity Editor **will be a proactive, confident, self-starter who has a passion for interviewing and writing and a hunger to secure exclusive celebrity interviews. They will be able to adapt their style to the different lifestyle brands (Good Housekeeping, Red and Prima) and be confident with writing for both print and digital.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To constantly research the entertainment and celebrity sphere, under the guidance and supervision of the Group Celebrity Director.
- To come up with ideas for interviews, profiles and covers for Good Housekeeping, Red and Prima.
- To take on negotiations with celebrity agents and publicists when required.
- To interview celebrities on a regular basis and turn out sparkling copy for the lifestyle brands.
- To write TV and film reviews as required.
- To write entertainment listings pages as required.
- To edit celebrity content when required.
- To attend evening events, including film screenings as required.
- To build a contacts book of celebrity agents, publicists and PRs and build positive relationships so that the Lifestyle brands are front of mind for these contacts.
- To be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values. You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time.

**ABOUT YOU**
- An individual with a strong features writing background with evidence of producing excellent features ideas and sensational copy.
- A confident self-starter, who will be able to handle conversations with celebrities professionally and with maturity.
- Someone with a passion for writing and who is able to work quickly, efficiently and to tight deadlines.
- An adaptable individual who is a proven team player. Someone happy writing across multiple platforms.
