**Job summary**:
We are recruiting for a Policy Officer to join our Independent Schools team.

This part of the team is responsible for the continuous improvement and development of Ofsted’s inspection policy and methodology for the independent schools it inspects.

As a Policy Officer, you will help us to ensure our policy is up to date by regularly reviewing and updating material. As the post holder, you will work on strategic projects alongside the Policy Lead for independent schools, investigating emerging trends in the sector and ensuring our policy aligns with these.

As the post holder, you will be involved in stakeholder engagement with the sector and with other government departments. You will work with the Policy lead to ensure stakeholders are engaged as appropriate in our policy development. You will also work with the DfE and Ofsted’s regions to take ensure we support the DfE to take regulatory and enforcement action of failing schools.
