Tour Guide On Hotel Barge

Cruising for over 35 years, European Waterways are the owners and operators of a fleet of luxury hotel barges located in France, Holland and Scotland.

European Waterways is the owner and operator of **10 barges** measuring from 30 to 39m. These barges can accommodate 8 or 12 guests maximum, depending on the size of the barge and have a crew of 4 to 6 people including, at least, a pilot/captain, a tour guide/deckhand, a chef and a host.

We are currently recruiting for a Tour guide for our barges in Scotland which cruise the Caledonian Canal between Inverness and Fort William for our 2023 season (from March to November).

The main duties of a Tour Guide are:

- Preparation of visits, driving the passengers to the various visits, interaction with passengers,
- Anticipate the unexpected, know how to bounce back and plan emergency visits,
- Cleaning of passenger vehicles and participate to the outside duties
- Main driver: carry out pick-up and drop off passengers on weekends,
- Help to the crew: pick up bread, help with dishes, bar service, etc.,

You have a genuine interest of the Scottish culture and history and like to share your knowledge with the others.

You have great communication skills and are a good team player.

You have your driving licence.

Contract length: 9 months

**Salary**: From £1,650.00 per month
