Cruising for almost 50 years, European Waterways are the owners and operators of a fleet of luxury hotel barges located in France, Holland, and Scotland.

European Waterways is the owner and operator of 11 barges measuring from 30 to 39m. These barges can accommodate 8 or 12 guests maximum, depending on the size of the barge and have a crew of 5 to 6 people including, at least, a pilot/captain, a tour guide/deckhand, a chef, and a host.

Guests come onboard for a 6-night all-inclusive cruise. Our goal is to provide them with the best service to ensure they enjoy a truly unique experience.

Our season runs from mid-March to mid-November.

We are looking for **a Tour Guide** for one of our barges running in Scotland on the Caledonian canal.

The main duties of a Tour Guide are:

- Prepare the visits, drive the guests to the different visit sites and do the tours by explaining the history, culture, etc, entertain the guests.
- Do the pickup and drop off at the beginning and the end of the stay, do the vehicles moves between the navigation.
- Maintenance of all the outside of the boat including vehicles, bikes, jacuzzi, exterior plants, etc : cleaning, repairing, painting, etc.
- Help the other crewmembers: pick up the breads, help washing glasses, dishes, do some bar service, etc.

You have a genuine interest of the Scottish culture and history and like to share your knowledge with the others.

You have great communication skills and are a good team player.

You are dynamic, autonomous, organized, and multi-skilled.

You have a driving licence.

Seasonal contract of 8 months with salary depending on your experience.

Our crew members are provided with food and accommodation on board our boats during the season.

Tips are given at the discretion of customers.
